SAN RAMON, CA (April 26, 2010) – Hill Physicians Medical Group and Seton Medical Center
have reached an agreement for patient care services.
The hospital participation agreement enables members of Hill Physicians to begin receiving
inpatient and outpatient care at Seton Medical Center, considered a cornerstone of healthcare
for families who live in the southern part of San Francisco, Daly City, Pacifica, Brisbane and
South San Francisco. The agreement takes effect immediately.
“Seton joins with us, CHW hospitals and UCSF to create a strong, community-academic network of care,” says Steve McDermott, CEO of Hill Physicians. “Hill Physicians members who live in north San Mateo County can use their respected local hospital and still enjoy the confidence of being in-network with UCSF.”
“Our new, long-term alliance with Hill Physicians allows us to serve even more members of our
community,” says Lorraine P. Auerbach, president and CEO of Seton Medical Center. “There is
tremendous potential in the collaboration.”
Seton Medical Center was founded in 1893 and is operated by the Daughters of Charity Health
System. The 357-bed, non-profit medical center provides a full range of services and is
recognized as a leader in cardiac, spine care and orthopedic services.
Hospitals in Hill Physicians’ San Francisco region include Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, Seton Medical Center, St. Mary’s Medical Center, UCSF Children’s Hospital and UCSF Medical Center.
