Vice President, Risk Management
Vice President of Risk Management and Corporate Responsibility Officer, Mr. Cook is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the risk management program, including the procurement and maintenance of insurance coverage, professional liability, workers’ compensation loss prevention programs, and claims management. He is also responsible for the management and direction of DCHS’ corporate responsibility program.
Prior to joining DCHS, Mr. Cook worked for nearly eight years in the risk management department of Ascension Health in St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as Director of Loss Prevention & Program Services. Additional work experience includes administrative positions with acute healthcare providers in Wheeling, WV and in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mr. Cook received a Masters degree in Hospital Administration from Xavier University and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
