Vice President, Information Technology and Strategy
Mr. Day is originally from Sheffield, England and attended the Sheffield School of Nursing where he received R.G.N. (Registered General Nurse) and R.P.N. (Registered Psychiatric Nurse) qualifications. In 1987, Mr. Day was recruited to Seton Medical Center and eventually transferred to the Information Technology Department where he assumed primary responsibility for clinical applications for four Daughters of Charity hospitals in the Bay Area. As part of Catholic Healthcare West (now Dignity Health), Mr. Day served as the IT Director for St. Mary’s Medical Center and Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco and then later ran the Y2K applications project for Catholic Healthcare West’s 42 hospitals.
Mr. Day’s skills eventually led him to work for PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a senior consultant, and in 2001, he co-founded Xpediate Consulting LLC, a management consulting and software development company. Then in late 2003, he returned as a consultant to the newly formed Daughters of Charity Health System, directing the clinical application strategy. In January of 2006, Mr. Day was promoted to Director of Information Technology for DCHS, focusing on strategic planning, introducing new technologies and strengthening the IT systems. In his role as Vice President, Mr. Day will continue to lead the strategic planning and implementation of new information technologies to position DCHS for future growth.
