Acting Chief Administrative Officer
Carol Furgurson, MSHA, CPA, is the Acting Chief Administrative Officer at Saint Louise Regional Hospital. Prior to this role, Carol served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Saint Louise for the past five years. During her tenure, she oversaw medical device integration and installation of five new computer systems including clinical documentation, led the development of the master site plan for health care campuses in Gilroy and Morgan Hill, and assisted in implementing Urgent Care, lab and radiology services at the Morgan Hill campus.
Prior to serving as Chief Operating Officer at Saint Louise, Furgurson served as Interim COO and also CFO, Senior Vice President at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose, another member hospital of Daughters of Charity Health System. She was instrumental in successfully developing and implementing a multi-million dollar turnaround plan that included significant labor and supply reductions, increased revenue realization and business development initiatives.
Furgurson received her bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The University of Toledo, in Ohio. She received her master of science in Health Administration from Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. Furgurson is a graduate of the Ministry Leadership Formation Program, a three-year program for leaders in Catholic health care.
