Vice President, Mission Integration

As Vice President of Mission Integration, Sister Carol Padilla provides leadership, vision, and direction necessary to ensure that the philosophy, mission and core values of the Daughters of Charity Health System (DCHS) are integrated into all facets of the organization. This includes supporting and guiding Mission Services, Ethics, Bioethics and Spiritual Care departments in their strategic expression of DCHS mission and values.

Prior to her new appointment as Vice President of Mission Integration, Sister Carol was the Provincial Health Councillor for the Daughters of Charity, Province of the West and served on the DCHS Board of Directors. She also served as Vice President of Mission Services at Catholic Healthcare West in the Southern California region, as well as Vice President of Mission Services at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose. While serving as Vice President of Mission Services, Sister Carol developed System Mission and Vincentian Values Statements, the Reorientation Program, the Standards for Mission Integration, and System Orientation for new Mission Leaders. Her extensive nursing experience includes supervisory positions at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose and Mt. St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth’s in San Francisco

Sr. Carol received her bachelor of science degree in Nursing from Marillac College in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her formation as a Daughter of Charity in St. Louis, Missouri in January of 1963.
