President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Issai was appointed President and CEO of the Daughters of Charity Health System (DCHS) in July, 2006.  Prior to his appointment as President and CEO of DCHS, he served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Issai has been affiliated with the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul, Province of the West special ministries to the "sick poor" of our communities since 1992. In May 2001, Mr. Issai worked closely with the Daughters to create DCHS and separate the Daughters' six hospitals from Catholic Healthcare West, after which time he joined DCHS as its Executive Vice President and CFO.

From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Issai was the Regional Vice President of Finance for Catholic Healthcare West - Southern California Region and from 1992 to 1996, he was Senior Vice President and CFO of St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Issai was Assistant Vice President of Finance with Harbor Health Systems, in Harbor City, California, and from 1983 to 1986, he was Controller of Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, California.

Mr. Issai has served as a Board and Trustee member of many professional/ trade organizations, including California Hospital Association, California Hospital Association Integrated Systems Council, American Hospital Association Healthcare Systems Council, Advisory Board Member to California State Polytechnic University School of Business.

Mr. Issai received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Andrews University in Michigan and his M.B.A. in Finance with honors from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California and he is a member of Delta Mu Delta, the International Honor Society in Business Administration. He resides in Glendale, California. Mr. Issai is married to Alice, and they have two children, Vahe and Selene.
